                                                                      ADVERTISEMENT FOR TWO JUNIOR RESEARCH FELLOWS

Applications are invited for two Junior Research Fellow (JRF) positions under a DBT funded Project titled "Biodiversity Characterisation at Community Level in India Using Earth Observation Data".

Nature of Work: Biodiversity data collection in forests, remote sensing data processing and GIS analysis

Age limit: 28 years (relaxable as per Government of India Rules)

Fellowship tenure: 4 years

Fellowship: 25,000/- +20% HRA per month for the first and second year and 28,000/- + 20% HRA per month for the third and fourth year.

Essential qualifications: Master's degree (first class) in Botany/Forestry/Ecology/Environmental Science/ Biodiversity and Conservation

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Pass in CSIR/ UGC NET
  • Experience in ecological surveys/species identification/forest inventories
  • Willingness to carry out field work in difficult terrain and remote locations
  • Good oral and written skills in English
  • Computer skills
